Welcome to the Y6 Class Page - Ms Merriman

This half term we have been spending time studying Romeo and Juliet. The children have written their own playscripts based on a scene from the play. They are becoming familiar with the work of Shakespeare!

During maths we have been looking at the properties of 2D shapes. We are also working on our maths curricular target of solving problems.

During science we have been exploring forces and learning all about friction, gravity, magnetism, air resistance and upthrust. The children have linked this to their artwork which was people in action. They have also experienced upthrust through swimming.

The children have spent all this half term working on their private study, which is based on a country of their choice. They have searched the internet during ICT to help their research.
