Welcome to Year 4 Class Page - Mr Newsome
Hello!
In Y4 we usually begin the day sat on the carpet whilst the registers are take.
We also sit on the capet when learning some new skills so that Mr Newsome can check our answers on our Individal White Boards.
Everyone reads to the teacher once a week and on other days we have other activities such as private reading and diary writing.
Often we work in teams so that we develop teamwork skills whilst supporting each other in learning.
We take homework and the children who do this have a longer Golden Time, providing all their work and behaviours have been satisfactory.
All children have targets in Maths, Reading and Writing. All work is marked and children may be given individual learning targets. Mr newsome checks that we achieve these.
