Welcome to Miss Hunt's Class Page

Welcome to our class page. We are very excited to be in our new class and have been working very hard. We have 5 class rules to remind us how to behave:
- Be kind
- Listen to others
- Keep things tidy
- Try your best
- Tell the truth
We are also improving our behaviour to get extra green cards and we have been learning ways to help us chill out and manage our feelings.

In literacy we have began by writing stories about exciting things that have happened to us. Stories were about getting lost, being ill and going away. We put time connectives in our work to make it more interesting. We have also been learning about instructions. We have listened to others, made our own and writen instructions for other people.

In numeracy we have been learning number and shape facts, as well as looking at graphs. This graph shows our favourite foods in Y2.

Our topic this half-term has been 'All About Me'. This picture shows our topic display board. In our Science sessions we have been studying food, medicine, growing up and changing. In our art and design sessions we have been using mirrors to look at our faces. We all made a self-portrait using materials of our choice. We had a special day where we learnt all about the Muslim faith. It was the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, so we learnt about the special traditions and celebrations. All of KS1made Eid cards and labelled pictures of mosques, as well as designing mendhi patterns. We have a book in our classroom which we made with all our work. Come in a have a look!

Like all the classes in our school we each have targets for reading, writing and maths. Our targets are displayed on our wall so we can see how we are improving. We have special bookmarks in our class to remind us of our targets, and ideas to help us achieve them.
