A new school year...

Congratulations to Mrs Camps and Miss Fretwell who have both had baby girls. We wish both families lots of luck and are looking forward to seeing them very soon. Mrs Camps will be returning to work in January.

We have had a super start to the year, with lots of exciting things taking place both in and out of the classrooms. All the children are very busy  learning new songs for the Christmas Performances which will be shown before the end of half term.

As a school, we are very excited to have been accepted on the  Creative Partnerships Learning Programme. As part of this we have been allocated a Creative Agent who will support our needs within school. To give you an insight into what it means to be part of Creative Partnerships please visit their website for more information: http://www.creative-partnerships.com/

"Creative Partnerships is the Government’s flagship creative learning programme, designed to develop the skills of young people across England, raising their aspirations and equipping them for their futures. We foster innovative, long-term partnerships between schools and creative professionals, including architects, scientists, multimedia developers and artists. These partnerships inspire young people, teachers and creative professionals to challenge how they work and experiment with new ideas.

Young people develop the skills they need to perform well not only in exams and extra-curricular activities, but also in the workplace and wider society."

As you will see, we have lots of School Clubs taking place designed to enrich and extend the children's learning. School clubs are run by staff, parents and local Police Community Support Officers. If you wish to support or run any clubs, please speak to Sally Hoyland or myself.

Best Wishes

Mrs. Cath Whittingham

(Head Teacher)
